Oval Diamond Engagement Ring with Hidden Halo
About This Design
This version of Solitaire Oval takes the most classic engagement ring silhouette of the moment, the oval-cut solitaire, and adds one of the most-requested modern details in fine jewelry: a hidden halo. From above, the ring reads as a clean, minimalist solitaire with nothing to distract from the elongated brilliance of the center stone. From the side, a delicate row of pavé-set diamonds wraps around the base of the oval, visible only from the profile, adding sparkle from an unexpected angle.
Four prongs hold the diamond, two paired at the top and bottom of the stone and one on each side, a setting choice that reveals more of the diamond than a six-prong configuration and gives the ring a slightly more open, contemporary feel. The shank itself stays smooth and polished, tapering at the back of the finger for everyday comfort.
Solitaire Oval is for someone who loves the timelessness of a classic oval solitaire but wants a quiet, modern detail that only they (and the people who look closely) will notice.

Pricing & Timeline
Because every piece is handcrafted to your specifications, pricing depends on your chosen diamond, metal, and design details. Your consultation will include a clear, itemized quote before you commit.
Production typically takes 4 to 6 weeks after final approval.
A note on sizing: pricing may also vary with ring size, as gold weight changes accordingly. For designs with side stones, the total number of stones and total carat weight may vary based on size. Please also note that, depending on the style, some rings cannot be resized after they’re made. Your designer will walk you through this before the design is finalized.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a hidden halo? A hidden halo is a small ring of pavé-set diamonds placed beneath the center stone, visible only from the profile view rather than from above. It adds sparkle and visual depth without altering the clean silhouette of a solitaire from the top, and it’s become one of the most popular engagement ring details of the last few years.
Does the hidden halo make the diamond look bigger? Slightly, especially from the profile. Because the halo extends just past the base of the center stone, the ring reads larger from the side. From above, it’s invisible, so the perception of size from the top view is unchanged.
Why a four-prong setting instead of six? Four prongs reveal more of the diamond from the top view, giving the stone a more open, exposed look. Six prongs are more secure and conceal slightly more of the stone’s edges. Four-prong is the more contemporary choice; six-prong is the more traditional one. Both are widely used.
Do you offer lab-grown diamonds? Yes, we work with both lab-grown and natural diamonds. Your designer can walk you through the differences in price, sourcing, and certification to help you choose what fits your priorities.
How long does it take to make Solitaire Oval? Typically 4 to 6 weeks from final design approval to delivery.
