About This Design
Most emerald-cut engagement rings set the stone vertically, running lengthwise along the finger. Moonivonne does the opposite. Its emerald-cut center diamond lies horizontally across the finger, an orientation known as east-west, which fundamentally changes the way the ring reads. The stone appears wider, the long step-cut facets sweep across the hand rather than down it, and the overall effect feels distinctly modern and architectural.
A split shank rises from each side of the band toward the center, opening into two parallel rows of pavé-set diamonds along the top. Pavé continues along the outer edges of the shank as well, which is a detail most rings overlook. The result is a ring that catches light from the profile view as much as from above. Beneath the center stone, the split shank creates an open gallery, keeping the design airy and letting light pass through the piece.
