Bezel-Set Diamond Crossover Ring
Every custom ring tells a story.
Whether you’re designing an engagement ring or reimagining a meaningful piece, we guide you through every step to create something truly personal and lasting.
About This Design
Virellon takes a structural approach to engagement ring design. The center diamond is held in a full bezel, a continuous metal rim that wraps the entire stone instead of relying on prongs, creating a clean, modern silhouette and a more secure setting that sits low against the finger. The bezel itself is then surrounded by a dimensional pavé halo, with diamonds set across both the top and the outer edge so the halo catches light from above and from the side.
The shank takes the design somewhere unexpected. Two strands of pavé-set diamonds cross over each other on either side of the center stone, creating an interwoven, almost sculptural effect rather than a simple split shank. Beneath the halo, an openwork gallery shows fine detailing visible from the profile view, an heirloom touch that contrasts with the otherwise contemporary silhouette.
This is a ring for someone whose taste leans architectural. Confident, design-forward, built to be noticed without feeling loud.

Frequently Asked Questions About Bezel-Set Diamond Crossover Ring
Is a bezel setting more secure than prongs? Generally yes. Because the bezel wraps the entire stone, there are no exposed prongs to catch on fabric or potentially loosen. Bezels are particularly popular for active lifestyles and for people who work with their hands.
Does a bezel setting make the diamond look smaller? Slightly, because the metal rim covers a small portion of the stone’s edge. However, the bezel can also be designed to extend just past the stone’s profile, which makes it appear larger. Your designer can show you both approaches.
Can the crossover shank be simplified? Yes, we can build Virellon with a more conventional split shank or a single solid band if the crossover detail isn’t your preference. The bezel and halo can stay regardless.
Do you offer lab-grown diamonds? Yes, we work with both lab-grown and natural diamonds. Your designer can walk you through the differences in price, sourcing, and certification to help you choose what fits your priorities.
How long does it take to make Virellon? Typically 4 to 6 weeks from final design approval to delivery.
